Black Wire Open Topped HouseReviewsWe are using the wire open topped house as a mail catcher for our outdoor mail slot and it works beautifully - catches all our mail and looks great. All I need now is to figure out a 'roof' for it to keep the rain at bay. Average Rating:![]() |

Wald 3133 Front Quick Release Bicycle Basket with Bolt on Clamp (14.5 x 9.5 x 9, Black)ReviewsI love this basket. It's easily mounted, easily removed, and when not on the bike, the carrier doesn't protrude obstructively. It rests securely on two hooks which attach to the lower side of the basket and the handle forms a 'twist lock' with an eyelet in the mounting bracket. I would suggest there be a snap catch or something on the handle to keep it from accidentally lifting and rotating, causing the basket to become unattached from the mounting bracket, but this has never happened to me either. I take the precaution of using a small spring clip or carbinner clip to hold the handle down against he basket when mounted just in case. The basket is sturdy and strong and works great to remove and take with you in the store or where ever. Highly recommended. It was easy to attach and works great. It is very secure. I put a gallon of milk along with a few other things in and it didn't budge. I like that I can take the basket off and use it in the store when I don't have my bags with me. Took a few minutes to figure out how to work the release mechanism, but that's because I'm slow. Sturdy construction, no problems with it. Whoever said the basket is hard to balance while shopping isn't that smart. This basket is cool, a little expensive but it is made in the USA. I think it looks sweet on my bike. One time I came around the corner and some old man was checking out my bike and started telling me about the new style baskets he had seen, the ones that pop out, so I demonstrated for him, he thought it was a very nice looking basket. I was so excited to receive this basket from Amazon--I'd been waiting with baited breath. However, one of the included screws quickly stripped during installation. Next came a trip to the hardware store and a frustrating hour or so trying to get the angle of the handlebar brackets right--driving the screw was next to impossible until this was accomplished. All in all, I'm glad I finally have my basket, but it was way too hard to install. Had I known it was going to be so frustrating, I probably would have passed on this product altogether. Wald 135 Front Grocery Bicycle Basket (14.5 x 9.5 x 9, Silver)ReviewsI love my basket - looks great and was easy to assemble!! It arrived fast, too so I was very happy all around! I had bought this basket for my daughter who had an older bike and it worked great. Unfortunately, my bike had a different type front wheel that made it tricky to get on. it's a little bit smaller than what I expected. But it's really good, very stable after set up correctly. And parctical!! Just got the basket and took me like 15 minutes to install it. It's great quality all around. I have beach cruiser and the support arms are just fine length. I saw that someone else said they were short... but mine were fine. Here's a video of it I made for a friend after installing it: [...] This basket is big enough to fit one grocery bag or one Westie dog when her short legs get too tired. This basket makes my bike more functional. I'd recommend it to anyone. Average Rating:![]() |

Wald 582 Rear Folding Bicycle Basket (12.75 x 7.25 x 8.5, Black)ReviewsThese baskets work great. I really like having them. I had them installed by my local bike shop on my old bike which was later stolen. Well, when I got my new bike, I decided to try to install them myself. I thought it'd be nice to know how. What a disaster. You have to bend little metal pieces which are difficult to reach because of the bike wheel. And the metal pieces don't fit right over my rack. And when they bend wrong, which inevitably they will, you have to take it off and unbend the metal that bent wrong and then start over. The one thing that my local bike shop told me was that you should zip tie the basket to the rack first before trying to use the hardware. If that helps anyone out there, I thought I'd pass it along. But in my honest opinion, these are great baskets, just have your local bike shop install them. Assembly took about 15 minutes, all I need was a flat-head screwdriver and a wrench to hold the nut. The top mounting clips fastened tightly and don't allow the basket to move from side to side. The only small problem is that I couldn't use the clip for the bottom of the basket, which is meant to keep it from bouncing up and down. The reason is because none of the wires lined up properly with the vertical bar on the side of the bike rack. I got around this easily with a zip tie so it's no big deal. If I needed another one for the other side, I definitely would purchase this again. It took me a while to finally decide on what kind of basket I wanted and I am really glad I went with this one. I ride my bike to an el station in Chicago everyday and needed something that I could throw my extra bag that holds my book, lunch, etc. This is the perfect fit for that and can also hold more if I stop by a store on the way home. It also collapses so that you can still lock the bike up as normal. I am happy to no longer have to have a bag hanging from my handle bars getting stuck in my spokes and ripping open followed by the frantic chase down of my items that are thrown all over the street while I narrowly miss cars and attacks from the neighborhood packs of wild rabid hyenas. Well, maybe sans the hyenas but you get the picture. These baskets work great on my city bike--the bike I use to visit friends and run errands near where I live. If I need to do some quick shopping, or if someone gives me a something to take home, I always have a way to carry it. The baskets fold up and don't get in the way when I don't need them. They are a great size for holding one of those re-usable grocery bags that are popular these days. I had a pair of them on my old city bike (a converted mountain bike) and bought a new pair when I upgraded to to spiffier Dutch-style bike. I purchased a set for my bike to attach to my existing rack. I deducted one star for the inadequate hardware that was included with the baskets. I installed mine with super hevy duty cable ties instead because they are easier to install. This cut the total time to less that 5 minutes to put both units on the bike. The baskets work very well when reusable cloth grocery bags are used becase small items won't come out and get lost. The big plus is they fold up out of the way when not in use.
